AMT Pro Portable Condition Monitoring Equipment

AMT Pro Portable Condition Monitoring Equipment

The AMT Pro enables maintenance teams to assess motor-driven equipment from the motor control centre and receive actionable fault diagnoses within minutes, without installing any sensors on the machine.

Product Overview

The AMT Pro portable motor analyzer displays diagnostic alerts for a pump and motor.

The AMT Pro is a portable condition monitoring equipment for three-phase AC motors, generators, and their driven equipment. The AMT Pro analyses current and voltage signals, it then evaluates the condition and performance of the complete motor-driven system without requiring sensors to be installed directly on the machinery.

Utilising patented machine learning technology and a database of more than 10 million motor profiles, the AMT Pro automatically identifies potential electrical, mechanical and operational faults. It then converts the measurement data into an immediate, actionable condition assessment report, supporting predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and energy efficiency evaluation across a wide range of rotating assets.

Key Benefits

Technician using the AMT Pro portable condition monitoring system at a motor control centre panel

AMT Pro simplifies the condition assessment of motors and motor-driven equipment by transforming electrical measurements into clear, actionable diagnostic insights. It helps maintenance teams detect developing problems, investigate equipment condition, and make better informed maintenance decisions without the need for installing sensors directly on the machinery.

  1. Detect developing faults early: Identify potential electrical, mechanical and operational problems before they lead to costly equipment failure or unplanned downtime.
  2. Assess the complete motor-driven system: Investigate the condition of the motor, power supply and connected equipment; including pumps, fans, compressors and gearboxes just from a single test.
  3. Obtain actionable results quickly: Receive an immediate condition assessment report with identified faults, recommended corrective actions and estimated time-to-failure information.
  4. Reduce testing complexity: Evaluate equipment without permanently installing sensors directly on the motor or driven machinery, making testing faster and less intrusive.
  5. Improve maintenance decisions: Transform complex measurement data into clear diagnostic insights that help maintenance teams prioritise and plan corrective work.
  6. Identify energy and cost inefficiencies: Detect operating faults, loading issues and equipment inefficiencies that may be increasing energy consumption and operating costs.
  7. Test difficult-to-access assets: Assess equipment in locations where installing or accessing conventional condition monitoring sensors may be challenging.
  8. Support safer equipment assessment: Perform testing from accessible electrical connection points, reducing the need to approach operating rotating machinery.

How It Works?

The AMT Pro assesses motor-driven equipment by analysing the relationship between the three-phase voltage supplied to the motor and the current drawn by the complete system. It converts these electrical measurements into actionable diagnostic findings without requiring sensors to be installed directly on the machinery.

  1. Stage 1

    Connect at the MCC

While the machinery operates under stable, steady-state conditions, maintenance personnel connect the portable AMT Pro at the Motor Control Centre (MCC) using three current transformers and three voltage probes.

  2. Stage 2

    Collect Electrical Data

The AMT Pro captures three-phase voltage and current signals from the motor supply without requiring sensors to be installed directly on the machine.

  3. Stage 3

    Perform Model-Based Analysis

The AMT Pro analyses the relationship between the supplied voltage and the current drawn by the machinery. Current distortions not attributable to the incoming voltage are evaluated for their characteristics and severity.

  4. Stage 4

    Generate the Condition Report

The processed findings are then automatically converted into a structured condition assessment report for review by the maintenance team.
