VibVue is a motion magnification software and high-speed camera system designed to visualise and analyse subtle vibration in operating machinery and structures. It processes recorded video at the pixel level, magnifying movements that are difficult or impossible to see with the naked eye and presenting them as clear, measurable motion.The system enables reliability engineers to examine vibration across multiple areas of a machine or structure without installing sensors at every measurement point.

How It Works?

VibVue works by combining high-speed video capture with motion magnification software to record, reveal, and measure movements. The entire diagnosis process begins by first recording an equipment under its normal operating conditions, and it continues through video processing, vibration analysis, and engineering interpretation.

  1. Stage 1

    Capture the Movement

    The high-speed camera records the machine or structure while it is operating. Correct camera positioning provides a clear view of the components being investigated.

  2. Stage 2

    Analyse the Vibration

    VibVue analyses pixel-level movement within the recorded video. Users can select multiple regions of interest and examine vibration data such as frequency, displacement, velocity, acceleration, overall vibration and phase angle.

  3. Stage 3

    Magnify the Motion

    The VibVue software filters and magnifies selected movement by more than 1,000 times, making vibration patterns that are normally invisible to the naked eye clearly visible. Motion can be displayed in the frequency domain or time domain for transient events.

  4. Stage 4

    Support Fault Diagnosis

    Engineers interpret the motion-magnified video and measurement data to investigate how machinery components and supporting structures are moving. This helps them identify possible vibration sources and determine where further investigation or corrective action may be required.

    Detects peak-to-peak displacement as small as 0.1 mil, or 0.0025 mm, at 10 ft or 3 m with an end-to-end field of view.

  • Ultra-Wide Frequency Range

    Using Warp Speed, VibVue supports frequency detection from above 1 Hz to 10,000 Hz without cropping the image resolution.

  • Frequency- and Time-Domain Display

    Displays motion-magnified videos using frequency-filtered processing or in the time domain for examining transient events.

  • Portable, Offline Configuration

    Operates as a portable, laptop-based camera and software system without requiring an internet connection during on-site use.

Measurements, Outputs and Reporting

VibVue detects, measures, and compiles vibration data from an unlimited number of selected regions within a recorded scene. Available measurements in the VibVue software include frequency, displacement, velocity, acceleration, overall vibration and phase angle. This allow users to examine and compare movement across different machinery components and supporting structures.

The software presents pixel-level vibration data through visual image maps and generates motion-magnified videos for further analysis. Movement can be displayed using frequency-filtered processing to isolate selected frequencies or in the time domain to examine transient events.
