The e-MCM is an online condition monitoring and predictive maintenance system designed to provide continuous monitoring of motor-driven assets.

Utilizing a sensorless approach, the e-MCM leverages existing motor electrical signals, enabling non-intrusive installation at the Motor Control Centre (MCC) without additional field instrumentation. This makes it a practical and scalable solution for monitoring a wide range of assets, including pumps, fans, and compressors.

By extending monitoring coverage across more equipment, the e-MCM supports proactive maintenance strategies, helping reliability teams improve fault visibility, reduce unplanned downtime, and make more informed maintenance decisions.

How It Works?

The e-MCM system applies a model-based monitoring approach to evaluate machinery condition using electrical signal behaviour. During commissioning, the e-MCM establishes a baseline by analysing the relationship between voltage, current, and operating conditions across different load states. This forms a reference model of normal machinery behaviour.

In operation, incoming electrical data is continuously assessed against this model. Rather than relying on fixed alarm thresholds, the system identifies deviations in behaviour that indicate the development of faults, even under varying operating conditions.

These deviations are then processed to determine fault characteristics and severity. The system presents this information as structured diagnostic outputs, enabling maintenance teams to identify issues early and take targeted corrective actions.
